Empty Nest

Last night the last two boats left the boathouse for a test float on the lake. The shop is empty! They were joined by a brand new AlumiWeld from Rogue River Boat Shop. All three will launch Sunday from Lee's Ferry for a commercial trip, along with my '72 Briggs and an Andy Hutchinson dory.

Grandpa's Boat Refurbished



My Grandpa, Robert "Bob" Grubb was a fisherman through and through. Ocean, lakes, rivers, beaver ponds, mud puddles, irrigation ditches, you name the body of water, he was there with a fishing pole in his hand.

High side ? Low Side?

What is the difference between a high sided boat and a Low sided boat. Maybe someone could post some examples? Also what is the difference/purpose. Can you modify a boats plan on your own as far as the shape is concerned. Thanks Steve

Back in the boatshop
